The weekend of the convention is expected to be a busy one in Santa Barbara, so book your accommodations early!

There are several hotels and motels within easy walking distance of the convention, and many more just a short drive away.  Of course you won't want to miss the Convention Barbecue and Banquet, but for breakfast and other meals there are restaurants close by as well.

• The Best Western South Coast Inn is just across the street from the Elks Lodge. 805-967-3200.
   
• The Holiday Inn on Calle Real is is just a short walk from the Elks Lodge. 805-964-6241.
   
• The Extended Stay Santa Barbara is about 1.75 miles from the Convention. 805-692-1882.
   
• The Super 8 Motel is probably the most affordable, and is about 1.3 miles from the Convention. 805-967-5591.

Despite any convention discount, you may get better rates through a travel agent or online travel service such as Expedia, Orbitz, or Travelocity.
